Around 60 Aboriginal leaders from across the Country gathered in the in town of Broome in the Kimberley reign of Western Australia to discuss economic development, expecting 10 to 15 people to show up to the discussion it gave Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commission and the leaders the opportunity to talk about a wide range of issues that face Aboriginal and Islander people today.
Social Justice Commissioner Mick Gooda questions ” how we [society] can actually pull away some of the restrictions that impact on people” wanting to develop their land in whatever way they see fit.
